About
Welcome to LawSchoolConservative.com!
People ask me: “Why did you start this blog?”
The answer is simple. I started this blog because I believe in a free and full exchange of ideas.
In an academic environment, the free flow of ideas is paramount. To be effective, an academic environment must provide for all ideas to be given exposure, no matter how offensive or intolerable the idea may seem. Sadly, Conservative viewpoints are not always given the exposure they deserve, much less the respect given to other, more liberal viewpoints.
Law School however, provides little chance for political dialog. The law is by nature based on fact, but the reasoning behind law, is based on politics. I started this blog so that I and other conservatives in academic environments can have a place where we can share our viewpoints on issues in a forum that is accepting and open.
The authors who publish here have complete free-reign. They have been given the freedom to write about whatever issue they want with no moderation from me or any of the other editors. I encourage those who write here to speak from their mind, provide their own justification for why they hold the views they do, so that in the end we may all understand why we all think the way we do and why we entertain the views and opinions that we hold.
Its worth mentioning that not all authors necessarily agree with each other in their opinions. Each and every author is solely responsible for what they write, and their views don’t necessarily reflect the views of the rest of the staff.
So feel free to read, ponder, comment and enjoy our civilized discussion of issues and policies. My hope is that this blog, in which the authors are encouraged to be themselves, opens the eyes of others to new ideas and provides for greater understanding of people with different viewpoints.
Truly Yours,
